ECO PRINTING + TEXTILES
Eco printing is by no means a new thing. It has been going on for centuries. We see it all in nature, staining of plant life, imprints on the sidewalk. I’m using a technique that utilizes leaves and plants sandwiched between your paper or fabric, bundled up, steamed for a couple of hours, let it sit over night then on pins and needles you unbundle you package and see if Mother Nature gave up anything. The process is highly unpredictable and that’s what makes it exciting. I am loving this process.

ECO PRINTING ON SILK
I have made these scarves using mostly Oak and Maple leaves. Using iron water to steam the tannins from the leaves are released and imprint on the silk. This combination is what gives the rich golds & rust colours with dark leaf images.
